Genomic Biochemical Engineering

The number of organisms whose genome is completely sequenced is increasing rapidly. These genomic sequences and the tools developed for genomics research have afforded bioengineering research golden opportunities.

A number of Dr. Hu's research projects employ research tools in structural and functional genomics to elucidate the regulation of cellular metabolism and differentiation. Other projects involve development and quantitative analysis of commonly used genomic techniques.
