1. Spatial Structure of the Channel in one microcarrier (352 KB)
What will be shown is a series of optical sections through a gelatin
macroporous microcarrier. The material of microcarrier was labelled
with a fluorescent dye. The dark area inside the microcarrier is
occupied by pores. The section starts at the top and moves into the
middle of the microcarrier.
2. Rotation of the Channel (460 KB)
The material (or the structure) of the microcarrier is removed, so that
the pores can be seen. An ideal macroporous microcarrier should have
large pores, high pore volume and many accessible openings. The video
shows the pores of a microcarrier. It is rotated for viewing from
different angles.
