This CD-ROM, with reference
materials and tutorials for biochemical engineering in general, and cell
culture processing in particular, is updated and expanded annually. It includes a collection of lecture notes for easy
cross-referencing, in-depth discussion on selected topics in bioprocess engineering,
and a laboratory manual on microcarrier culture. Color photographs of
cell morphology and cell behavior illustrate subtle points of various
techniques used in cell culture processing. Using cell culture data as
examples, metabolic flux analysis and advanced data analysis techniques,
such as neural network and nearest neighbor analysis, are also described.
Templates of the spreadsheets, models of the mathematical programs and
algorithms for data analysis can be downloaded.
