Plenary Award Nominations
Nomination of Plenary Session Speakers (one each for 15a, 15b, 15c, and 15d/e) for Plenary Session in Celebration of the FPBE Award at the 2008 Annual  AIChE Meeting in Philadelphia. DEADLINE: April 25, 2008.

Each year at the AIChE Annual Meeting, the Plenary Session, to celebrate the Award of the Food, Pharmaceutical, and Bioengineering (FPBE) Division,  is a showcase for the best of our community to present their work and be recognized for their achievements.  Since 1996, this Plenary Session has become  an important tradition and one of the best attended events at our annual meeting. In addition to the FPBE Division Award winner's presentation, the plenary session features talks representing each of the Division's four areas:

Area 15a -- Food
Area 15b -- Pharmaceutical
Area 15c -- Biochemical Engineering
Area 15d/e -- Bioengineering

Being selected as the plenary speaker representing an Area is a significant honor and is often a stepping stone to the FPBE Division Award.

A selection committee of 2-3 individuals is appointed by each of 15a, b, c, and d/e, and each committee selects the speaker to represent its subdivision.

The 2008 nomination form is available here, with instructions as to how to submit the nominations. The nomination deadline is April 25, 2008.  Nominations are accepted ONLY electronically as a single PDF file, as explained on the nomination form.

2008 FP&B Student Travel Awards
The AIChE Food, Pharmaceuticals and Bioengineering Division will make available at least five (5) travel awards to graduate students who present posters at the 2008 Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. Each travel grant is worth $500.
NOMINATION DEADLINE AND AWARDEE NOTIFICATION
• The completed form and associated documents should be received by August 15, 2008.
• The travel awards will be announced by September 29, 2008.

2008 FP&B Poster Awards
The AIChE Food, Pharmaceuticals and Bioengineering Division will grant four (4) graduate student Posters Awards and one (1) General Poster Award, $500 each.
NOMINATION DEADLINE AND AWARD SELECTION
• The completed form and associated documents should be received by September 15, 2008.
• The Awards will be announced right after the end of the poster sessions. An Award certificate and the award amount will be mailed later to awardees at the address provided below by the applicant.
